Kayla Hunter is a recent graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in nonfiction writing and Latin American studies. She gets her kicks writing/teaching/learning about sustainable agriculture, Latino culture, and the linguistics of learning a second language. Someday she might figure out how to combine those things into a cohesive career. In the meantime, she'll be working at the Frick Environmental Center and as an AmeriCorps service member at the Latino Family Center in Squirrel Hill. She'll also, with any luck, plant her first garden in her back yard.
