Students have the opportunity to compete with professional outlets and work with Point Park professors to hone high-level reporting and production skills. The program provides an outlet for those students driven to do quality work by offering a way to have their work published. For students striving toward communication careers, the news service generates portfolio evidence of their abilities. Student reporters also build personal contacts throughout the media industry.
The Point Park News Service operates out of the university’s downtown Pittsburgh campus. Students cover a wide range of topics, across a variety of journalistic media.
