Phipps Shows off Corpse Flower Before It Blooms

There's a flower at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden that when in bloom smells like rotting flesh. Amorphophallus titanum will be something to see and smell when it blooms some time in the future. For now, visitors can get a rare glimpse of "The Corpse Flower" in its first year of growth. The plant will be on display Thursday 10/28/10 through Monday 11/1/10.
