Snake Charmer: Zoo Curator Works to Help Endangered Snakes Reproduce

With a hiss only a mother could love, it's perhaps not surprising that the Louisiana pine snake doesn't mate very well with others. Its once-a-year breeding habits combined with a relatively small amount of eggs laid have combined with habitat loss to make it one of the most endangered snakes. The Allegheny Front's Jennifer Szweda Jordan visits with the Pittsburgh Zoo's curator of reptiles and Kids Kingdom Henry Kacprzyk.
