Students Spend a Day Without Technology

The Fairchild Challenges are a series of environmental competitions that Phipps Conservatory offers to regional schools each year. The Allegheny Frontís Dennis Funk recently judged one of these contests where students spent a day without technology and then wrote an essay about their experience. He went to Avonworth Middle School in Ohio Township to speak with a group of students who participated in the challenge about how they coped without their iPods, laptops and cellphones.
