Ann Murray is a former reporter for The Allegheny Front. She’s been 600 feet below ground in a long-wall mine and surrounded by 800,000 honeybees on their way to a new pollination site. She’s written about her grandmother's intractable love of nature, and has traveled to Cuba to follow a shipment of surplus medical supplies. Her stories have aired on NPR, Marketplace, The Environment Report, Voice of America, 2005 Public Radio Collaboration, Living On Earth, and Tom Paine, an online public affairs journal. She has many awards for her work with The Allegheny Front.
