Earlier this month, a Penn State University committee looking into allegations made against one of their professors released its findings. Dr. Michael Mann is a climate research scientist at Penn State. He and several other scientists were informally accused by climate change skeptics of suppressing climate data, concealing email from climate researchers, misusing confidential information and deviating from accepted research practices. The Penn State committee found that "there exists no credible evidenceî that Mann has committed research misconduct in three out of the four accusations. The committee will continue to investigate the last allegation of working outside of accepted academic standards.

Questions were raised about Mann after a hacker published e- mails sent among climate change researchers. Climate change opponents say the emails show that researchersóincluding Mannóexaggerated or made up global warming data.
